Barr on consulting team for Northern Red River Flood Study

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) have partnered on the Northern Red River Flood Study to identify ways to mitigate the duration and frequency of interstate and highway closures due to flooding. The two departments are working with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Barr, SRF Consulting, and Widseth comprise the consultant team for the project, with funding for the project coming from NDDOT, MnDOT, and the USACE Planning Assistance to the States and Tribes program.

“The train is just leaving the station” on the study, said Barr’s Jennifer Koehler at the first public input meeting, which was held in October in Minto, North Dakota. Click the image below to read the full article in the Grand Forks Herald.
