HEDA breaks ground on new Hibbing manufacturing facility

The Hibbing Economic Development Authority (HEDA) recently broke ground on the future location of a manufacturing facility in Hibbing, Minnesota, to support the planned expansion of Advanced Machine Guarding Solutions (AMGS). Staff members from Barr’s Hibbing office were excited to work on this local project that serves as a promising step for future manufacturing growth activities in the city. Barr worked within tight budget constraints to provide electrical engineering services for the new facility and completed the design quickly to allow HEDA to secure funding and a loan from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB). We will also provide construction oversight and act as the owner’s engineer for HEDA as the construction phase of the project begins.
