Barr staff to present and host a workshop at energy conference

Seven staff members from Barr will participate in presentations and a pre-conference workshop at the 2022 Energy Progress & Innovation Conference (EPIC), which will take place in person at the Bismarck Event Center on January 25 – 27, 2022 in Bismarck, North Dakota. 

On Tuesday, January 25 at 12:30 p.m. CST, Amanda Gravseth, Sarah Johnson, Matt Metzger, Nicole Nguyen, and Ryan Rayda will host “Climate Stress and Carbon Management in the Energy Industry.” This pre-conference workshop will highlight what climate stress means, its impacts on the energy industry, and its effects on how the industry is perceived.

Then, at 10:45 a.m. CST on January 26, Nicole Nguyen will present “Mitigation of Aerosol Impacts from Coal Combustion,” highlighting the development of a transformational technology that controls the formation of alkali aerosols found in coal ash. Concurrently, Jason Westbrock will be presenting “Secrets of Managing Public, Stakeholder, and Agency Coordination on Any Project,” identifying the keys to managing public, stakeholder, and agency entities during the technical phases of projects.

Lastly, at 10:45 a.m. CST on January 27, Sarah Johnson will present “Repurposing and Repowering Through Renewables.” She will discuss the growing interest in developing renewable energy on non-greenfield sites.
