Barr collaborated with a large design team that included landscape architects, fountain designers, historic preservation consultants, and lighting designers to renovate Peavey Plaza in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. ArchDaily, an architecture website, recently highlighted the Peavey Plaza renovation project as one of the biggest developments in landscape architecture in 2019.
As the electrical, civil, and structural engineering lead of the project, we designed power supply and controls, electrical distribution, and lighting control systems and designed a stormwater management system that intercepts runoff before it drains into the fountain and pervious pavement with structural soil to provide trees with a better growing environment.
