Tor Hansen

Tor is a senior civil/structural engineer with over 25 years of experience working primarily on structural design, inspection, and rehabilitation projects. His experience includes designing reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and precast concrete structures such as dams, buildings, equipment supports and foundations, waterfront structures, and equipment bridges. Tor also inspects and evaluates structures and prepares construction plans and specifications, inspection reports, and options studies. He has extensive experience in the evaluation and design of hydraulic and waterfront structures including pile and caisson foundation design, spillway gate design, river-shore retaining wall design, steel sheet-pile cantilever and anchored retaining wall design, and steel sheet-pile cellular structure design as well as powerhouse and turbine replacement. Tor is a FERC-approved independent consultant and has served as principal in charge, engineer of record, project manager, lead design engineer, senior technical resource, and independent consultant for FERC Part 12 inspection reports for dam projects across the country.
