Kristin Alstadt has over five years of geotechnical experience working on projects requiring on-site investigations, mass data analysis, and seepage and slope-stability modeling. She is MSHA certified for metal, nonmetal, underground, and coal mines and has performed geotechnical investigations above and below ground at mine sites. Prior to joining Barr, Kristin performed construction observation and facility inspections, prepared civil plan designs and as-built drawings, and conducted on-site and in-lab material tests. Her graduate research involved experimental and modeling studies aimed at evaluating the molecular interactions as well as micro- and nanostructure in oil shale.
