Dan has more than a decade of mechanical engineering experience in the design of fossil-fueled power plant systems, including new solid-fuel and gas-fired boilers as well as simple-cycle, combined-cycle, and combined heat and power stations. He has provided conceptual design of new generation projects including site selection, general arrangement development, and plant permitting. Dan also has renewable-energy experience related to new biomass-dedicated boilers and co-firing biomass. In addition, he has contributed to multiple environmental retrofit projects involving flue-gas desulphurization, selective catalytic and non-catalytic reduction, electrostatic precipitators, baghouses, and activated-carbon injection.
