BJ has 15 years of civil and structural engineering experience designing structural features for municipalities, water management organizations, industrial facilities, mines, and hydropower facilities. These features have included flood control systems, foundation systems, steel frame systems, and concrete pump stations. Prior to Barr, BJ worked as a structural engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he coordinated dam repair work, performed levee system and dam inspections, and designed flood walls for the New Orleans coast.
